1. Youth matter to God (John 3:16; Rom. 5:8)

 

2. Discipleship ministry is a process (I Corinthians 3:5-8)

 

3. Cultural relevance is of the utmost importance (I Cor. 9:19-23)

 

4. The youth ministry must reach for excellence (II Cor. 13:11)

 

5. Everything is done with a purpose and nothing is done that does not tie into our purpose statement (Prov. 29:18)

 

6. Team ministry is essential for successful ministry to be accomplished (Philippians 2:2)

 

7. Evangelism is a process (I Corinthians 3:5-8)

 

8. Prayer is necessary for every aspect of youth ministry (Philippians 4:6)

Youth Director.

As the youth director my responsibilities include leading all elements of the Youth Ministry program for grades 7 through 12. This includes teaching Sunday School, running the Sunday Night youth group program, mid-week Bible studies, leading/directing an adult leadership team, developing and writing Sunday School Curriculum, developing the small group ministry, developing and leading annual mission trips, multiple levels of communication (parents, students, leaders and staff) as well as multiple levels of camps, retreats and other large activities. My responsibilities include development, oversight and execution of all youth ministry elements.

Irvine Presbyterian Church

Director of Junior High Ministries.

As the Director of Junior High Ministries my responsibilities include leading all elements of the Junior High program. This includes teaching Sunday School, running the mid-week ministry program, leading/directing an adult leadership team, developing and writing Sunday School Curriculum, developing the small group ministry, developing and leading annual mission trips, multiple levels of communication (parents, students, leaders and staff) as well as multiple levels of camps, retreats and other large activities. As the Interim Director of Middle School Ministries of this large group, averaging approximately 70 Middle School Students, my responsibilities included leading all elements of the Middle School program. This included teaching Sunday School, running the mid-week ministry program, leading an adult leadership team, developing a Sunday School Curriculum, developing a small group ministry, developing and leading annual mission trips as well as multiple levels of camps, retreats and other large activities. My responsibilities included development, overseeing and execution of all middle school ministry elements.

My responsibilities included organizing and running all youth programs as an interim youth pastor including Sunday School, Wednesday night program, camps, retreats, special events and a student leadership team. A strong focus was put upon the relational ministry aspect and spending time building relationships with students outside of the walls of the church. In addition to this was a focus on evangelism training and hand-on evangelism experiences.
