Basket Dodgeball

Written by
Begin with 4 teams of any size over 3. Begin with all balls in center of Basketball court. Teams line up outside of court near baskets. Number off so that each team has the same numbers on each team. (Ex. game leader calls #2 and four number 2's enter the court.) A round begins when a number is called. They enter the court and must choose to make a basket and score for their team or grab a dodgeball and get someone out on the other team. The round ends when all are out or have scored a basket. Baskets are 2points and yes the 3-pointer is legal! The object is to not get hit and be the first team to score 11 to 21 points.

Banana Hose

Written by
Divide the teens into pairs Give them one banana and half a pair of panty hose (i.e. one leg of nylon) One puts the panty hose over their head The other feeds the banana to them through the panty hose The first team to finish the banana wins [HINT: slowly works better as you have to strain the banana through the panty hose]

Balloon Madness

Written by
What you have to do is divide the group into 2 groups. Then each team gathers around the sheet, but leave one side open (short side)then the youth leader puts a small water balloon on 1 teams sheet.that team throws the balloon into the other teams sheet.the other team has to catch it in their sheet if they do they get a point,if they dont they don't get a point.Sounds easy huh well not quite. The youth leader dosen't let the other team see him put a big water balloon on one of the teams sheet, and they throw that.Which ever team has the most points wins!

Balloon Blowup

Written by
Buy one package of balloons and three bottles of shaving cream. Instructions: Blow all the balloons up and hold shut with your finger, then grab a bottle of shaving cream and stick the nozzle into the balloon. Squirt shaving cream into the balloon until it is half full. Continue to fill all balloons except one. Split your youth group into two teams. Line them up facing each other, they must sit on their knees and are only allowed to use one hand. Have each team choose a goalie. The goalie stands at each end of the room, their job is to get the balloons from team mates and pop them with straight pins. The point of the game is for each team to retrieve as many balloons and give them to their goalie as possible. The youth pastor or worker will throw out the empty balloon first, following that all the balloons filled with shaving cream. The results are hilarious!!! Some balloons pop before they even reach the goalie, and the young people love the messiness of it all.

Form a circle and have everyone hold hands, put a chair in the middle of the circle. The object of the game is to try and have people touch the chair, by pulling, pushing, etc, but the circular link can not be broken. If you to touch the chair you're out of the game, if the link breaks, the two people who broke the link are out of the game. The game is over when there is only one person left.

2x4 Skis

Written by
2 Groups of 5-10 Prepare a four 2x4's, (or larger if possible), with ropes at each end by drilling through the wood and pushing the rope through and knotting it. Have each group stand on a set of the 'skis' (Pack as many teens together as possible). Then they have to race about 100'. This is another good problem solving puzzle. (They have to yell 'RIGHT' - 'LEFT' - 'RIGHT' and so on).
